How to use our client portal

(If you would like this page translated, there is a Google Translate option on the bottom right of this text.)

It is entirely possible that you have forgotten how to use our client portal. Here are a set of frequently asked questions that clients can use to help them use the portal easily.

Can you use a mobile device to access the portal?

Yes, by using the SHAREFILE app. If you are using an iPhone/iPad, please use this link. If you are using an Android device, please use this link.

You can not use a browser on your mobile device and you will not be permitted to log in through the browser as a result.

If you are using a desktop or laptop, you can use the browser.

How to locate the portal?

When you are on my website, you will locate a link in the top centre of every page called ‘Client Portal’. That links to the current version of the client portal. I suggest that you do not link to the portal as I may change it, but the website will always point to the current version.

When you are at the portal, your userid is your email address. If you have forgotten the password, please use the link “Forgot password?”. This link will step you through the process of resetting your password. When you complete those steps, you will receive an email with the link to reset your password.

Note that the link is only good for a limited time.

How to upload to the portal?

When you are in the portal, you will find a folder with your name (or your family name) on it. Go into that folder.

Inside that folder is another folder called, “Documents for Tim Parris”. Go into that folder.

You can upload files in this folder. You can select several files and drag them on to the screen to upload them in one go. I have uploaded 120 files in one drag and drop. Do not sign out of the portal while your files are still uploading in the background.

You can not delete files which have been uploaded, so please ensure that the files are appropriate.

DO NOT CREATE subfolders as they will be deleted.

DO NOT email our office saying that you have uploaded the files, as we already get an email from the portal when you upload the files.

My files are gone! What happened?

We remove the files after we have downloaded them.

But how do I know what files I have uploaded?

We recommend that you have a folder on your computer which is titled, “Documents that I have already uploaded”, so you can check what you have sent us already.
